Soda Stream...

I was nicely gifted this holiday season and I'm truly thankful for all the gifts in my life, material and otherwise. But my favorite prezzie is my new Soda Stream!!! I'm a club soda with lemon ADDICT (I don't mess with any "colas") and having the ability to create sparkling water in mere seconds is absolutely THRILLING!

The device is slim, doesn't use electricity and is super easy to use. My recycling bin is also MUCH lighter...This pleasant and uplifting promo video says it all, yes?

Bonus video from the 80's!
Why did it take me so long to get busy with the fizzy? England had Soda Streams decades ago...

Ahhhh, so refreshing!

facial massage...

While I was supposed to be shopping for others I came across a 'new to me' beauty tool I consider to be a must have! This massager (with a bamboo handle!) by The Body Shop is a nubby rolling pin for your face and neck which is supposed to help improve blood flow and increase the absorption of your treatments. I just think it feels nice...

You should really just take my word for it because the tester tool for you to try in store is disgustingly filthy...don't even touch it. Just grab a new one, pay the $8 and send me a thank you note. It's quite a relaxing little ritual, espesh if you get someone else to do it for you!

Always use on clean skin, follow the included instructions and rinse the tool well, post massage.

This massager would be a great stocking stuffer for a beauty junkie or as part of a relaxation themed gift basket for the spa girl in your life!

glittered poinsettias!

Poinsettia's are a boring holiday tradition ---  like fruitcake. BORING NO MORE!

What a lovely way to punch up the classics! Use these to decorate for your own holiday soiree or give as a hostess gift. I found these in my city at Fresh Market. While a quick search of the webz didn't offer much I'm assuming these won't be too hard to find at other retailers this season!

handmade gifts & knitting on INsight...

DIY, INsight, gifts, holidays, me, mediaNavigate with StyleComment
Have you ever received a handmade/homemade (is there a diff?) gift that you absolutely HATE? I have a hard time hiding my true feelings...my face speaks for me unfortunately. I caution anyone when giving homemade gifts since the recipient will feel obligated to use or wear or keep the gift for years to come. Don't saddle your loved ones with items that are not appropriate for them or aren't their taste...

That being said, some of my favorite gifts received have been handmade. I know many talented people who create beautiful and thoughtful items that I treasure.  We talk about this very thing on INsight  as well as discuss knitting for beginners and for stress relief.

Thanks for watching!
