TRIA

Trying Tria...part 3

I'm a few treatments in to my at home laser hair removal project and I'm so excited to report I'm now seeing some results! I've upped my Tria laser to Level 4 and am definitely seeing the regrowth rate slow, the hair grow back thinner and more sparse.

While I've read numerous times that laser treatments feel like rubber bands snapping against the skin I have yet to feel that sensation. What I've felt has been more like a quick zap or pinch but really the pain has been minimal. This is a long term project for sure but I'm very excited about the final results!

I'm a month in to my adventures with home laser hair removal and while I haven't seen any results just yet I'm certainly getting very comfortable with the device and the process. I started just with my underarms since the area is small but I quickly expanded the treatment to other parts. I mean, if I'm going to go through this process I might as well emerge on the other end like a hairless cat, right?
Since I've now treated my designated spots twice I'm anxious to start seeing the hair that does grow in become more fine and the overall growth rate slow down after subsequent treatments. I have yet to experience any real pain and have not had any skin irritation so I'm planning to increase the laser's intensity from 2 to 3 (on a scale of 5) for my next session.

Stay tuned for part 3 next month and if you missed part 1 click here.

I've always said that if you spend enough time in a salon you'll wax anything and I've logged many, many hours in salons over the years. But now that I'm no longer working for a salon/spa company my regularly scheduled waxing appointments have morphed into sporadic sessions with razors and shaving cream. While I have found my ideal shaving implements I still hate the task so when TRIA gave me the opportunity to test the technology of laser hair removal in my own home I jumped for joy!

I've been reading and reading and reading in preparation and today I finally did my patch test. I'm so excited to embark on this experiment and to share the process and the results with all of you. I'll be posting regularly each month and at the end of it all one of you will have the opportunity to win your very own TRIA laser!!!

Stay tuned...
