I love that books about style are so impossibly stylish in and of themselves they automatically add a chic touch to any room.  And, oh yeah,  I also happen to like reading them...

Diana Vreeland, The Eye Has to Travel by Lisa Immordino Vreeland - anything and everything DV is always an inspiration to me...

Eleanor Lambert, Still Here - Eleanor was an Indiana native!

Cristobal Balenciaga: The Work of the Master by Miren Arzalluz - I cannot say enough about this designer.

Daphne Guinness by Valerie Steele - she's eccentric in the best way possible and one of the most stylish women today.

support public radio...

Hello and happy Saturday evening!  I don't usually post on the weekends but I am inspired to do so today by my local NPR station, WBOI 89.1 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and my friend, Carrie Boylan, the fabulous @nprchick.

NPR provides such an important service to us all...join me in supporting your local station to ensure the rich programming continues.  I wish I could pledge within the Magnate level like Alec Baldwin but alas, I'm not a Hollywood big shot.  However I will continue to pledge through the years, doing my small part.

I've been recently made aware (thanks, Gary) of a Spanish ventriloquist named Senor Wences.  He was famous for his characters Johnny, Pedro and Cecilia and performed frequently on Ed Sullivan.  Below is a collection of clips from his appearance on The Muppet Show.  I could watch this guy for hours...giggle along, will you?
