Now that we've had a taste of the opressive summer heat to come let's talk cooling beauty gear.  Consider the below your MVP's (most valuable products) for the humid and sticky upcoming weather!

L'Occitane Verbena Cooling Deodorant is supremely effective and cools down an otherwise pretty steamy area!


The Mentha line from C.O. drugstore pick of the week...

There is plenty NWS could say about shopping at your favorite drugstore (selection, price, etc) but for now we'll dish on our fav new beauty product: L'Oreal Go 360 Clean cleansers and the included "scrublet".

There are four formulations (one gel, a gel/scrub and two cream versions - one of which is for sensitive skins) so each broad category is represented. Nothing massively groundbreaking to speak of but good basic cleansers with a great price point of about $6.99.

The real news is the scrublet - a flexible, pliable rubber tool designed to assist in the cleansing process. It comes packaged within the bottle itself and pops out for use and back in for storage. The handle's end is a suction cup that sticks to your bathroom mirror or shower wall for drying purposes.

This little tool not only feels great on the skin but more importantly can focus more attention on the face washing process. Many rush through their washings - especially after a long day when hitting the sack is most important. Without ample time for cleansers to dissolve makeup and surface oils the user may not be getting the best efficacy from the formula. The scrublet practically demands more time be spent.

Sensitive skins are easily irritated by many forms of exfoliation and the soft scrublet allows the user to control the level of intensity without grains, beads or chemicals.

When all is said and done the scrublet is hardly a necessity but it's a nice value added element to keep in use well after the cleanser is gone.
