First update of the new year: Friday's Five Favorites is now simply called The Five. Instead of choosing a theme I'll be selecting the top five people, places or things that interested me most during the week.
side note: I have an obsession with the number 5...just in case you were wondering.

The Hampton Popcorn Company - To be honest I purchased this tub of popcorn because I couldn't resist the packaging. However, the "Hampton Style Parmesan" popcorn was a mix of salty and sweet and was so delicious it didn't even last a full day at Chez Fox.
Chanel Shade Parade - This isn't new but I still love to watch it from time to time...It's so fun, expertly done and I love the use of Chanel's iconic strands of pearls, leather and chain straps and the model scale of Mademoiselle Chanel's legendary circular staircase.
pink chevron pillows - I spotted these pillows across the aisle while picking up dish soap and experienced love at first sight. They had to be mine!
e-reader sleeve - I received a Kindle for Christmas but have been unsatisfied with the sleeve/cover options. At the same time, I had been admiring a brown leather sleeve made for the Nook at Barnes & Noble but for use as a clutch or receipt holder. The Kindle is just a wee bit smaller than the Nook so I'm now the proud owner of a multitasking, supple leather sleeve!

This December threw me for a loop! It has been an exciting month for me and my family...exciting and busy. I feel very lucky and blessed these days because I have an amazing family, wonderful friends (old & new) and I am so happy to be working on all my various projects. I have neglected NWS these past few days as Mr. Fox was terribly ill. He made a recovery right before Christmas which was no doubt one of my favorite gifts.
Speaking of gifts...I must have been a good girl this year! Santa knew I was having tech issues and took great pains to remedy that. He also remembered that even though I adore electronics I love jewels even more. I'm happily typing this post on my new laptop while wearing the latest addition to my Alexis Bittar collection.

I am a buyer by trade and am always searching for the coolest new stuff and the best deals and promotions around. While I follow many retail brands through social media it's hard to catch every relevant tweet. This got me thinking...
What if there was a Twitter feed customized for my local area that captured the greatest retail opportunities? Shoppers could tweet at this account when they spotted great items for sale or on sale. Local vendors could tweet at this account for more visibility and to drive traffic to their stores.
As I scout around town and online I'll share with you all what I find of note through this feed. I encourage all genders and ages and interests to tweet to @fwshopreport when you spot something another shopper might find interesting. Please share the handle with your friends and family and as you interact with shop owners and managers. I started this account a few months ago but I hadn't sussed out exactly how I would use it...AND I fully expect it to evolve further as more people engage with the idea.
I will do my best to retweet the best deals...I can't wait to see what everyone finds!!
I get tons of use from my Apple ear buds included with my iPhones BUT I simply adore URBANEARS for their gorgeous colors, textures and awesome sound quality. The cords are wrapped in fabric and the plastic housing is matte and velvety. I have a pair of Baggis in Tomato and two pairs of Plattans in Dark Grey and Pool. I won't truly be happy until I own every color in every style...I'm obsessed.
