best damn eco polish remover...

I've had this bottle of eco nail polish remover for over a year but this weekend I finally gave it a shot. I LOVE IT! I love it so much I gave all my other removers away. The smell is pleasant, the formula is vegan, chock full of great ingredients and leaves nail moisturized, not parched. It does take a little more work to remove the polish than with traditional (toxic) formulas but it's totally worth it. lip tar...

Lip Tar by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is my new favorite lippy. The texture is thin and light but covers like a lipstick. The colors can be worn alone, under a gloss, over a balm and mixes well with others. The most precise application comes from using a lip brush but I typically just use my ring finger. A little goes a long way so $14 for the tube is quite generous and the formula is 100% vegan to boot!

I purchased two middle of the road colors (Memento & Grandma) but for my next order I'll get a little more daring. Check out the full range of colors here.

The Five 6.8

While the official hue of the season is Tangerine Tango I've been seeing lots of great pieces in crisp and refreshing mentha spicata. Since I'll be forced to endure 90 degree temps this weekend I'll break out my Mentha Vitamin Body Lotion for a little tingle and some spearmint accessories to at least appear cool!

f*** yeah!

A great friend recently asked me an important question. My instant answer: f*** yeah! We had a good laugh and that was it...or so I thought.

This morning one of the first things I read was a tweet by Independent Fashion Bloggers that linked to an article written by Jeff Haden for Inc.

Last year I moved with my little family from Boston, Massachusetts to Fort Wayne, Indiana and a major lifestyle switch followed. As I left the big city and my management career behind me I decided to pursue writing full time - a decision that continues to make me extremely happy. Yet recently I've said yes to a few things when I probably shouldn't have and I don't want to lose the joy I've felt during this last year. From now on, if my answer to any given question isn't a hearty f*** yeah, it should be a no. I need to approach life with this mentality and I can't believe I didn't think of it myself.

While I'm not uptight about language I know it's not acceptable to use such a word in a professional setting. So going forward when I'm answering yes I'll just *think* f*** yeah! But if we're friends or if I've been drinking (and especially if both apply) prepare yourself for the f-bomb.

The anchor is a symbol that means something to me and I've always been a fan of the nautical look. Just be sure not to wear more than one anchor piece at a time...it will weigh you down.
