stay cozy and cute on a snow day...

One of the best parts of a snow day is that your regular weekday uniform can lean toward comfy. One of the pitfalls though is some people mistake comfy for shapeless, dingy sweats (not cute).

You are best served in multiple layers: warm leggings under skirts and dresses rather than tights, long sleeve burnout tee under a vest under a sweater or a cozy sweater over skinnies and booties.

A lovely cashmere scarf accessorizes and warms any look. A black knit hat bottles in the heat and can be worn indoors with the right ensemble.

If you are lucky enough to be snowed in (le sigh) a pair of black leggings, tank top and feminine (not oversized and shapeless) robe with your favorite slippers are waaay more chic than those college sweats and ironic tee from UO. Just because you're home doesn't mean a little attention should not be given to your outfit, yes?

Now all that's needed is a steaming cup of tea, your current book and a crackling fire (or sinfully rich hot chocolate, a stack of fashion mags and any of the Real Housewives on DVR).
